Strawberry Clips

Clips made on commission for a friend. As you can see from the description, they are made from polymer clay, but I used to a different technique. My friend saw a similar pair that I made for ComicCon, but she didn't like the shape (they were quite hideous looking strawberries, so she had a valid point). I rolled the clay out like dough and cut strawberry shapes with a craft knife, baked them, painted them with a base coat of white acrylic, followed by red. I then painted the leaves and seeds, and to make them look 3D I added PVA glue over the paint. Once everything was dry I backed the strawberries with felt, then stuck on the hair clips. Lastly I gave them a coat of spray varnish for extra shine.
