Unicorn and Maiden Art

Since my art blog is much neglected, I'm uploading art to this blog instead. This is concept art for a short story which will become a comic. The comic will hopefully be accepted into the second issue of the Pilot anthology. I'm trying a stylised look, partly inspired by Gunnerkrigg Court (which is a fantastic series-look it up!)

The unicorn is based on an Arabian horse in most of these pictures, except for the blue one at the top: that one is based on a horse featured on Fugly Horse of the Day, of unkown breeding. Personally I thought he was cute, though with poor conformation.
